He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sutton and Luella Tompkins Sutton; and his daughter-in-law Kay Sutton. He is survived by: his wife Bruni Sutton; his children, Eric W. Sutton, Shawn C. Sutton (Nichamon), Susan Ehrgott (Curtis), Debra Beattie (Clay), Carol Papov (Vlad) and Dawn Hynes (Christopher); and his siblings, Linda Partridge (Robert) and Raymond Sutton (Doris). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of one's choice, especially one which benefits veterans or animals.
