We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2023 we had to say goodbye to John A. Dimitri of Fredonia, New York, born in Olean, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Themistocles "James" Dimitri and Antigone "Helen" Petro Dimitri; and his sister Athena B. Dimitri of Jamestown, NY. He is survived by: his wife Julianne Dimitri (Lopriore); his sons, Adam John Dimitri (Kelly) of Fredonia, NY, Aaron Michael Dimitri (Mackenzie) of Jersey City, NJ and Alexander James Dimitri of Philadelphia, PA; his grandchildren, Adrianna Athena, Audrey Antigone, Alexandra Aeron, Theo John and Piper Joyce Dimitri; and his brothers, James Dimitri (Karin) of Salem, CT and L. Michael Dimitri (JoAnn) of Fredonia, NY.

“I am heart broken to hear of John’s passing. John and I were best friends in Korea. We worked in the lab together and spent much of our off time together. He made my 13 month tour enjoyable while others complained. 53 years and I still think of him often. His mustache was well known throughout the base. Many higher ranked would stare at it and try to say it was against regulation. But John always was within the code. It was just a lot bushier than any others. I will think of him when I shave.”
