He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Songster and Mabel Linn Songster; his wife Dorothy G. Bigham; his son Richard; and his brothers, Billy and Jim Songster.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Songster (Kim) of Franklinville and Tim Songster (Cheryl) of Crestview. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
