She was predeceased by: her parents, Franjo Braut and Marija Braut; her brother-in-law Zdenko Pavlovic; and her nephew-in-law Lawrence Taormina. She is survived by: her siblings, Desanka Pavlovic and Anton Braut (Marija); and her nieces and nephews, Jasna Braut-Taormina, Jacqueline Pavlovic, Nancy Pavlovic, Steven Pavlovic (Rae Anne) and Sandra Ewers (Joseph).
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Marija's name to her hometown parish church, Crkva sv. Jakov in Kornić, Croatia, and has created this GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me.
