She was predeceased by: her parents, Franjo Braut and Marija Braut; her brother-in-law Zdenko Pavlovic; and her nephew-in-law Lawrence Taormina. She is survived by: her siblings, Desanka Pavlovic and Anton Braut (Marija); and her nieces and nephews, Jasna Braut-Taormina, Jacqueline Pavlovic, Nancy Pavlovic, Steven Pavlovic (Rae Anne) and Sandra Ewers (Joseph).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Krauss Funeral Home (1097 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, NY 11010). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the St Raymonds Cemetery (1759 Castle Hl Ave, Bronx, NY 10462).
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Marija's name to her hometown parish church, Crkva sv. Jakov in Kornić, Croatia, and has created this GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me.
