It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances J. McGowan (Franklin Square, New York), who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She is survived by: her husband William McGowan; her daughter Kathleen Steeneck; her grandchildren, Heather Cook (Matthew Cook), Kelsey Steeneck (Franklin Cruz) and Shawn Steeneck (Diane Steeneck); and her great grandchildren, Aubrina Cook, Irelyn Cook, Logan Steeneck and Autumn Cruz.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Krauss Funeral Home (1097 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, NY 11010). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Ascension Lutheran Church (145 Franklin Ave, Franklin Square, NY 11010). A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
Her faith in God kept her strong in life, as she endured tremendous loss of her two sons and two sisters and fought cancer several times while battling Parkinson's disease.
