He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosario Sr. Salvo and Margaret Salvo (DeTullio); his siblings, Daniel A. Salvo, Sr., Paul R. Salvo (Cheryl), Anthony "Tony" (Mary Salvo), Fanny "Faye" Bianco, Katherine "Kaye" (Anthony Cannistra), Margaret "Bunny" (Victor Nole, Sr.), Marie B. (Alfred T. "Al" Giglio), John J. Salvo and Josephine (Benedetto Carcone); his sister-in-law Lamya Salvo; and his friend Joe Basi.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne M. Emerson; his children, Colleen A. (Rick Eckler), Sheree L. Williams-Johnson, Marla M. Adorino, Kellie M. (Eric Sanger), Kenneth R. (Pamela Williams), Bernard J. Jr. (Adrienne Adorino), Richard J. "Richie" Salvo, Rusty Salvo and Peter Salvo; and his brother-in-law John Bianco. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Russ's honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
