He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Gonyea and Erma Clookey (Marshal); and his siblings, Betty Buchinski, Kenneth Gonyea and Lloyd Gonyea.
He is survived by: his wife Vita; his daughters, Susan (Bob Gamboni), Denise (Mark Holtzclaw) and Stacey (Rich Mahoney); his grandchildren, Melissa Manning, Jeremy Walawender, Shannon, Ken McCullagh, Richelle, Justin Acker, Bridget, Thomas Ritchie, Kristi and Jason Phillips; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Walter Maytan of Herkimer; his brother Dave; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Clookey of Rochester and Mary DellaGala of Utica. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
