We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2023, at the age of 67, Dana James Brewer (Frankfort, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Vernon; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Lois Ford; and his sister-in-law Mary Ford. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Ford; his daughter Rebecka; his daughter-in-law Samantha; his siblings, Bill (Mary Kay), Sharon (Jimmy Carter), Vernon, Steven, Theresa (Bob White), Carol (Steve Langdon), Lauren (Don Baylor) and Bobi Ann (Larry Bellstedt); and his grandchildren, Azayiah, Dylan, Aaliyah and Ethan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the American Cancer Society, 430 Court St., Utica, NY 13502, or Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413, in his name.

“I first met CPT Dana Brewer right before 9/11 when he was with the SARTS. We worked closely together after 9/11 regularly, spending weeks at a time working together. I relied on Dana because he was the sage "old man" of the Team. Even if he's only 3 yrs older. His knowledge, experience and demeanor made him one of the best Teammates I've ever had. My world is smaller with Dana's departure from it. I don't cry often, but I have today. Goodbye Dana, may you Rest in Peace. John H Burke COL IN USA.”
