She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Carter and Mildred Carter (Morrison); her husband Gerald Hudson; her siblings, Harry Carter Jr. and Marion Barber; and her niece Jennifer Carter.
She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Carter Sr. (Judy), Ronald Carter and Joann Brooks (Robert); her siblings-in-law, Susan Carter and Corey Barber; her son Kyle Smith (Nicole); her grandsons, Hudson and Wyatt; and her close friends, Carole and Sonya. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-Grandnephews.
