He was predeceased by: his parents, David Woodard Sr. and Lorraine Woodard (Benson); his son Thomas A. Woodard (Melinda Markey); and his wife Jacqueline Boss. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Dragon (Bruce) and James Woodard (Karen) of Moreau; his grandchildren, Jodi Harrington (Jeffrey), Kailyn, Cameron Woodard of Moreau, Douglas Woodard (Jade) of Colorado and Amy Markey; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Juliette, Riley, Claire, Brielle and Makayla; and his grandchildren, Chuck and Gretta.
