He was predeceased by: his in-laws, Robert and Jean Killian. He is survived by: his parents, Peter Cormie and Susan Cormie (Hughes); his wife Laurel Cormie; his children, Eden, Will, Derek and Daniel Cormie; his siblings, Peter Cormie Jr. (Jessie), Kelly Cormie, Krista Kennedy (Bill) and Suzanne Wykes (Shamus); his close friends, Jeremy Entwistle and Bill Carruthers; and his pets, Maui and Daisy. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
