He was predeceased by: his parents, John Betz and Marie Betz (Vanderhoof); his former wife Leona; his sons, John and Steve Betz; his mother-in-law Florence Wells; and his stepdaughters, Amy and Shelly Hammond.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hammond of Fort Ann, NY; his children, Sharon (Bradly Bushey), Patty Betz-Nolan (Mark Nolan), Mary (Dan Dion), Maureen (Bruce Hanson) and Fritz Betz (Sharon Mannwaring); his stepchildren, Faith Cleveland of Lake Pleasant, NY, Christy Roberts of Schoharie, NY, Greg and Emily Hammond of North Creek, NY.; and also John.
