He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Scouten and Mary Ferjet Scouten; his spouse Gale E. Ritter; his son Peter J. Scouten; and his siblings, Blaine Scouten and Cindy Scouten.
He is survived by: his son Ronald Scouten (Kimberly); his daughter-in-law Colleen Pritchard (Luke); his grandchildren, Michael (Abigail Scouten), Steven, Christopher and Sarah (Andrew Scouten); his sister Tammy Kotary; and his close friend John Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
