George Oakley Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Oakley Jr. of Forestport, New York, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George, Sr. Oakley and Harriett Oakley (Moore); his daughter Linda Allen Lindsay; and his sisters, Jean Oakley, Doris Oakley and Ellen Bliven.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sholtes; his children, Bridget Allen of Whitesboro, Deborah Oakley and Mark; his daughter-in-law Shelly Oakley of Newport, NY; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Robbie, Courtney, Erin, Jonathan and William; and his brothers, Frank "Dewey" Oakley of Schenectady and Robert Oakley of Grand Gorge, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
