He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carragher and Catherine Carragher (McDonnell); his wife Mary A. Carragher (Boyle); and his siblings, Patrick, Gerard, John James, Eileen Brady and Rose Lavelle.
He is survived by: his sister Mae Hughes; his children, Donald (Regina), Catherine (Anthony), Deirdre (Joseph) and Michael (Jae); his grandchildren, Emily (Ryota), Katherine (Michael), Lauren, Johanna (Mario), Anthony (Christina), James, Mary Jae and John; and his great grandchildren, Gannon, Ronan, Olivia Riley and Gio Anthony.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frederick Funeral Home (192-15 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11358). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church (34-24 203rd St, Bayside, NY 11361). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at the Calverton National Cemetery.
