He is survived by: his wife Linda A. Farber Kest; his children, William H. Kest, Jr. of Charleston, SC and Laura L. Kest of Charleston, SC; his brothers, Joseph H. Jr. of Toledo, OH and James R. (Peggy) of Sewickley, PA; and his granddaughter Violet Noel Mannering of Charleston, SC.

Donations may be made in his memory to St. Ann's Church.
