He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Strickland and Willie Strickland (Credle); his siblings, Swain and Alta "Beth"; and his nephew Mark.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Michael (Tina), William "Danny" (Vickie), David (Denene), Julie (Greg), Jodi and Jenny; and his grandchildren, Heather, Zachary, Luke, Kristeena, Lance, Kayla, Maryann, Marissa, Delaney, Samantha, Mayleigh, Leisa, Adam, Joshua, Ariel, Makayla, Makinzi, Leigha and Lex. He is also survived by cousins, nieces & nephews.
