He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Ames and Wanda Melecki Ames; his son Thomas J. Ames Jr. "TJ" (Audrey); his granddaughter Addison; his former wife Elizabeth Ames; and his daughter Bonnie Ames.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation or to the Fraternal Order of Police.
