He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Brotherton and Fern Brotherton (Gladle); his wife Barbara Dickhaut; and his siblings, Patricia Arnold, Donald Brotherton, Muriel Gates and Bobbi Scott.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Brotherton (Gina), Steven Brotherton (Helen) and Richard "Rick" Brotherton Jr.; and his siblings, Doris Bullard of Cranberry Lake, NY, Candice Renaud of Whitehall, NY and Charles Thompson. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
