He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Coontz and Ola Beckwith Coontz; his former wife Clara Scank; and his siblings, Sterling, Richard Coontz, Katherine, Margel, Hazel and Rita.
He is survived by: his son Mickey L. Coontz (Karen) of Florida, NY; his grandsons, Mickey W. Coontz (Mariana) of Darian, Conn. and Richard Coontz (Catherine) of Florida, NY; and his great grandchildren, Blake, Ashton, Mickey T., Harper, Emmy, Beau, Tessa, Hailee and Noah. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
