With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marita Kowalczyk of Florida, New York, who passed away on November 13, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Marita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael "Mickey" Kowalczyk. She is survived by: her sister Renate Kuhn (Robert) of Bremen, Germany; and also, Celeste and Kevin McAteer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the T. S. Purta Funeral Home (22 Glenmere Ave, Florida, NY 10921). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (616 Union Corners Rd, Florida, NY 10921).
