We are sad to announce that on March 11, 2025, at the age of 88, Maria Olivieri of Florida, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Maria departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Maria may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Maria leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio Giannasca and Dora Giannasca (Martinelli); and her husband Mario Olivieri. She is survived by: her children, Margherita Olivieri, Mario Franco Olivieri (Lauren) and Dora Ianora (Tommy); and her sisters, Elena and Anna. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Ferncliff Cemetery (280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530).
