She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar McKenzie and Suzie McKenzie (LaPlante); her foster parents, Morton Emery and Sylvia Emery; her husband Ralph Leroy Cookman; her siblings, Leonard R. Mckenzie and Inez Lafountain; and her brothers-in-law, Norman Duprey and Jack Favreau.
She is survived by: her children, Duncan Cookman (Ruth) of Fort Mill, SC and Bonnie L. Dupee (Mel) of Watertown, NY; her sisters, Anne Duprey of Chazy and Carol Favreau of Champlain; her grandchildren, Michelle (Mike Chiodi), Adam (Shauna Dupee) and Lauren Cookman of Fort Mill, SC; and her great grandchildren, Keirsten, Kaylie Chiodi of Belleville, NY, Gwena and Samuel Dupee of Chaumont, NY..
