He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard E. Califano Sr. and Diana DiGenova Califano Suprunowicz. He is survived by: his sister Michele Califano Stevens; his brother-in-law Edward "Andy" Stevens of Charleston, SC; and his sister Diana Califano of Ridgway, CO. He is also survived by his uncle and several supportive cousins.
The Covid-19 pandemic has negatively affected many people's mental health and created new barriers for people already suffering from mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Leonard's name may be made to the program he was part of for more than 25 years.
