He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carmelo Farruggia and Josephine Sanfilippo Farruggia; his wife Nancy McGraw Farrugia; his sons, David (Sharon), Joseph (Karen) and Michael Farrugia (Shinobu); his grandchildren, Brendon (Erin), David, Jr., Thomas, Jason (Kelly Aylsworth), Joseph (Venous), Jack, Keira and Maya Farrugia; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Nina, Leah, Jaxsen, Emma and Nora; and his sister Rosalie Gursling (Ronald). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
