With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Carl Harter Sr. of Florida, New York, who passed away on June 17, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine "Katie" Jarosz and John Joseph Harter; and his wife Leona Barbara Harter (Brunswick). He is survived by: his children, John Jr. (Lynn) of Florida, NY, Daniel of Florida, NY., Patricia Rotella (Frank) of Florida, NY, Lori Augustyn of Florida, NY, Sandra "Sam" Johnson (Warren) of Sebring, FL, Wendy (Damiano) and Basile of Holly, NY; his grandchildren, Daniel, Jr. (Ashley) of Florida, NY, Jonathan (Ali) of Florida, NY, Jeremy (Crystal) of Port Jervis, NY, John (Jack), Janice Orr (Thomas) of Montgomery, NY, Jillian Lima (Joseph) of Albany, NY and Michael Augustyn of Florida, NY; and his great grandchildren, Nathan Harter, Joey, Jason Lima, John Harter IV (Jake), Kenneth and Kendall Orr.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions and guidelines set forth, face coverings are optional for those who have been vaccinated to enter the funeral home and the church requires masks for all of those in attendance.
