He was predeceased by: his father Robert "Bob" Hillman. He is survived by: his mother Eleanor Hillman (Trowbridge) of Hornell; and his siblings, David Hillman (Kathleen) of Hornell and Kim Weyand (John) of Hornell. He is also survived by 1 aunt; along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Jim's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843.
