He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Trombley and Mildred Trombley; his wife Barbara J. Trombley; and his brother Ron Trombley. He is survived by: his children, Michele Alagna (Carl Santschi), Michael J. Trombley, Melissa A. John (Scott) and Maureen Clarke; his granddaughters, Lisa Alagna Ogden (Chris Ogden), Sarah Trombley, Carol Alagna (Nick Geary), Alexandria Olson (Carl), Erin Clarke and Anna Clarke; his brother David J. Trombley (Carol); and his sister-in-law Lori Shaw.
