He was predeceased by: his parents, William Better and Clara Better (Tooker); his wife Patricia Better; and his siblings, Bill Better, Jean Provino and Virginia O'Brien.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Better (Tammy) of Mount Morris and Daniel Better; his grandson Shawn Better of Mount Morris; his close friend Andrea Chastek Thompson; his grandson Jared Thompson of Florida; his nephew Richard "Dick" Provino of Mount Morris; and also, Darcee Thompson and Bret Thompson (Karen). He is also survived by Several great nieces, nephews and many dear and loving friends.
