It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Petrie of Floral Park, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Charles H. Petrie; his cousin Catherine Broderick; and his parents, Charles Petrie and Catherine Petrie (Fenton). He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Nora Heavey (Tony) and James (Christine); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Danielle, Cassidy, Patrick and Jessica; his brother John (Therese); and his sisters-in-law, Nora Fahy and Catherine Toale. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
