He is survived by: his parents, Theodore Dydek and Dorothy Dydek (Helmer); his spouse Patricia Ann (Hand); his children, Christopher Short of Wappingers Falls, Timothy Short (Dawn) of East Fishkill and Stephen Short (Heidi Kullman) of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Timothy, Ian, Isabella Short, Kyleigh Short, Connor Short, Zachary Mesuda and Tao Short; his siblings, Barbara Moyer (Ronald), Chrystal Johnson (Constance), Anne Roe (Kenneth), Anthony Dydeck (Susan) and Michelle Campbell (Thomas); and also Leo Short. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
