We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Sonja Horend of Fishkill, New York, born in Bergen, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Erna Nilsen; and her sister Ruth Knapp. She is survived by: her daughter Kristine; her son-in-law James DeSalvo; her son James Horend Jr.; her brother Finn; her sister-in-law Vivian Nilsen; her close friend Ellen Alperstein; and also, Penny Schouten, Debbie, Amy Alperstein and Geri Mortensen.
If friends and family so desire, donations can be made in Sonja's memory to the Dutchess County SPCA (https: //dcspca.org/) Family and friends will gather to celebrate Sonja's life at a later date.
