He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruth Griess and Heinz Griess; his wife Emily Griess (Antes); his brother Richard Griess; his sons, Kevin and David; and his brother William.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery (801 US-9, Fishkill, NY 12524).
