He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Edward J. Gallagher and Irene M. Gallagher; his brothers, Edward, John and Philip; and his former wife Joan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kevin (Christine), Marie Cosentino (Thomas) and Paul; and his stepchildren, Diane, Bill, Rick and Peggy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to The Wounded Warriors Project, or the ASPCA.
