She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lehrer and Katherine Lehrer; her husband David Zakrewski; and her sister Geri Lucente. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Young (Richard) and David Zakrewski (Donna); her grandchildren, Matthew, John, Daniel and Dyani; and her sister Carol Kenney. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
