She was predeceased by: her parents, Saul Smith and Irene Smith (Novack); her husband Joseph Vincent Loretta; and her siblings, Doris Bartley and Jerome Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Amatulli (Rich) of Danbury, CT and Lydia Elswick (Craig) of Hopewell Junction; her stepson Vincent Loretta (Johnna); and her grandchildren, Isabella, Gabriella, Ava Amatulli, Joseph, Jocelyn, Julianna Elswick, Jaime and Nicholas Loretta. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery (801 US-9, Fishkill, NY 12524).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Hudson Valley Hospice House, whose support and care during this time cannot be adequately put into words.
