She was predeceased by: her son James Higgins; her former husband Joseph J. Higgins Sr. of Inwood, NY; her siblings, Regina Toolan and James Davis Jr.; and her parents, James E. Davis, Sr. and Yvonne Gervais Davis.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Joseph Jr. (Teresa) of Bolton, MA, Stephen (Maureen) of Brussels, Timothy (Sara) of Marlboro, NY and Michael (Siobhan) of Berkeley Heights, NJ.; her siblings, Yvonne "Bunny" Higgins of Florida and Gerald E. Davis of Stone Ridge, NY.; her grandchildren, Joseph J. III, Kalyn, Zachary, Ryan, Sage, Aidan, Mairead, Michael, John, Tara and Clare; and her great grandchild Magnolia Higgins.
