He was predeceased by: his parent Ralph Amato; his wife Nancy E. Amato; and his brother Charles Amato. He is survived by: his parent Anna Amato (Rucci); his children, Mark Amato of Fishkill and Susan Amato of Newburgh; and his siblings, Jane Rhodes (Al), Rose Giammattei (Al) and Marion Cummings (Bob). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
