He was predeceased by: his parents, William Patrick and Iris Newman (Strong); and his wife Sheila Nathanson. He is survived by: his sons, William (Jean Newman) and Matthew (Alicia Newman); his grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Emma and Caden; his brother William Lionel Newman (Donna); his niece Kristan; his nephews, Jonathan and Ryan; his girlfriend Deborah Steger; his partner's daughters, Erica Steger and Amanda Schweizer (David); and also Brooke.
