He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Short and Helen Short; his sons, Andrew Short and Thomas Short; and his sister Jackie Wiley.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Jeff Short (Lorrie) and Dan Short (Jeanne); his grandchildren, Austin (Tara), Madison, Carsen, Heather (Kyle), Samantha and Zachary (Kerry); his great grandchildren, Carter and Mila; his sister Sue Tirjan; and also Margery Short. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
