Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mabel M Skellie of Findley Lake, New York, who passed away at the age of 88, on January 4, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvatore Piazza and Rosina Piazza (Frankina); her brothers, Christopher, Charles, Columbus and Floyd Piazza; her brother-in-law Robert Skellie; and her sisters, Concetta Conn and Virginia Fletcher.
She is survived by: her husband John H. Skellie; her daughters, Esther M. Bailey (Edward) of French Creek and Rosina M. Wade (Mike) of Clymer, NY; her grandchildren, Justin, Monte (Samantha), Megan (Nathaniel), Jonathon, Tara (Daniel), Clifford (Kaylee), Jennifer (Thomas), James and Jordan; her great grandchildren, Abby, Levi, Lily, Grayson, Isla, Teddy, Archie, Anabelle, Benny, Griffin, Ace and Jett; her siblings, John, Frank Piazza of North East, Evelyn Tartarella of North East, Adriena Piazza of North East, Frances Evans of North East and Mary Dimperio (Rex) of North East; and her sister-in-law Betty Skellie of Findley Lake. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home (65 S Lake St, North East, PA 16428). A prayer was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St Gregory Thaumaturgus Church (48 S Pearl St, North East, PA 16428).
