Stephen Potter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2021, at the age of 86, Stephen Potter of Fillmore, New York, born in Gouldsboro, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward and Myrtle Inez Torrey Potter; his son Andrew James Potter; his brother Melvin Potter; and his son-in-law John Nichols.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Kay Wright; his children, Cynthia J. Nichols of Perry, Douglas M. Potter (Robin) of Gainesville, Jacqueline S. Rich (Tom) of Ohio, Brandon M. Potter of Fillmore and Brynn E. Jackson of Fillmore; his grandchildren, Lindsay Kaszynski (Stephan), Bethany Nichols, Chris Nichols (Janel), Josh Nichols (Jocelyn), Julie McCauley (Benjamin), Karime Morley (Kevin), Becky Pruett (Mark), Libby Brundage (Robby), Alainna Rich, Dalton Rich and Matthew Stephen Jackson; his brothers, Terry Potter (Claudette) of Maine and David Potter (Judy) of Maine; his sister-in-law Sydney Potter of Fillmore; and his stepsisters, Loreen and Belinda of Maine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 there will be a small private family gathering later this week and hopefully in July a public celebration of life will be held.
