He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Sherylynn LaChappelle (Wayne), Debra Siple, Susan Markel and Robert Markel (Bonnie); his stepchildren, Ron Wickham, Kenny Wickham, Lisa Maxwell and Cheryl Ellerbrock; and his siblings, Joan Robinson, Helen Clark, Harold Bowers and Bruce Markel. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Jerusalem Reformed Church or the Onesquethaw Fire Department both located in Feura Bush, NY.
