With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert H. Platenik (Fayetteville, New York), born in West Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 25, 2020 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Platenik and Geneva Platenik; and his brothers, William, Joseph and Earl.
He is survived by: his wife Mary L. McGowan Platenik; his children, Beth Ann of East Syracuse, Mary Jo Richer (James) of Manlius, Robert of Syracuse, John (Amy) of Rochester and Scott Patrick (Nikki) of DeWitt; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Michael, Harrison, Meghan Richer, Karley, Casey Platenik and Emily Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
