He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores A. Gaiss; his parents, Anna Gaiss and Frank Gaiss; and his brother Heinz Gaiss. He is survived by: his son Ralph F. Gaiss, Jr. (Brooke); his grandsons, Luke, Emmett and Tyler; his children, Geoffrey J. Gaiss (Allie), Chloe and Sawyer; and his sister Annemarie Nickels of Floral Park, NY. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (9 Clinton Ave, Bay Shore, NY 11706).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, NY.
