It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julie A. Monteleone of Fayetteville, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Barone and Margaret Barone (Ferry); her husband Diogene "Dodge" Monteleone; her daughter Margaret "Midge" Monteleone; her son-in-law James L. Whitton; and her siblings, Mary Cunningham and Angelo Barone.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Monteleone Whitton (Robert Berger) and Carol Hamel (Joseph); her grandchildren, James Whitton (Sandra), Susan Allen (Michael), Joey Hamel (Frances), Alyssa Lazo (Dylan) and Lucas Dodge Hamel; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Ellen Whitton, Menaye and Essien Hamel; her sister Rosemary Liss; and her brother-in-law Peter Monteleone (Dolly). She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and 13 godchildren.
