He was predeceased by: his father John Quartier. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Quartier; and his children, Susan Hines (David), Stephen Quartier (Carol), Thomas Quartier (Patricia), Lori Keevil (Christopher), Theresa Burns (Timothy) and Catherine Reed (Donald). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to be made in James' honor to Clear Path for Veterans, an organization that supports veterans and their families.
