He was predeceased by: his parents, David Rein and Lois Rein; and his former wife Linda Phelps Rein. He is survived by: his wife Petie Halverson Rein; his children, Hayley Rein Kresock (Peter) of Ithaca, Tristan Davis Rein of Liverpool, Anne Halverson Stock (Gregory) of Manlius and James Heaton Halverson (Jessica) of Roslindale, MA; and his siblings, Nancy Rein of Syracuse, James Rein (Kim) of Arvada, CO and Robert Rein (Kathy) of Syracuse. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 nieces and nephews.
