He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Race Smithers; his daughter Karen Deason (Phil); his grandchildren, Audra Shangraw (Peter) and Lindsey Downs; his great grandchildren, Haley, Peter, Caden, Kyle Shangraw, Connor, Ray, Aaron and Wesley Downs; his father-in-law Charles Race (Nancy); and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Harris (Phil) and Ron Race (Sue).
