Smithers Jr. (Farmington, New York), born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 15, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his mother-in-law Joan Race; and his uncle James Williams. He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Race Smithers; his daughter Karen Deason (Phil); his grandchildren, Audra Shangraw (Peter) and Lindsey Downs; his great grandchildren, Haley, Peter, Caden, Kyle Shangraw, Connor, Ray, Aaron and Wesley Downs; his father-in-law Charles Race (Nancy); and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Harris (Phil) and Ron Race (Sue).
