He is survived by: his wife Karen Jo Flood Gates; his daughters, Julie E. Rockefeller (Brian) and Sarah C. Wesgate (Tim); his grandchildren, Carter Rockefeller, Elizabeth Rockefeller, Anna Wesgate, McKenzie Wesgate and Finnegan Wesgate; and his brother Don Gates (Freida). He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, friends.
